the comic con that was

This year was full of ups and downs, crowds and more crowds, sweating and more sweating, etc. etc. Generally, it was pretty good. I had 2 books at the show and they seemed to be selling pretty briskly. I'll post a more detailed look at the weekend after i recover, but in the meantime..more pictures.

Richard Kelly and my large melon head.

Bob Chapman, mastermind of Graphitti Designs and a good boss to work for.

George Singley, writer of about a million books including Silent Ghost. I'm painting it and its out in august. Notice how the Markosia logo makes a red halo around his head. I wonder what that means.

Chris Staros, publisher of Top Shelf comix and the Harvey Nominated book The Surrogates. They had 150 advance copies of The Surrogates trade paperback shipped to the hotel for the show. There were only a handful left. The book wont be out for 6 weeks and it looks amazing btw.

Rob Venditti, writer of The Surrogates.

Ben Templesmith, special guest for next years show...lucky bastard :)
